Citizens of the EU / EEA / Swiss Confederation can carry out research activities in Romania under the same conditions as Romanian citizens. The research in Romania is carried out both within the higher education institutions and within the national research institutes and follows the implementation of the Strategy and the National Plan for Research, Development and Innovation 2014-2020. The RDI system in Romania has the role of developing Science and Technology in order to increase the competitiveness of the Romanian economy, to improve social quality and to increase knowledge with the potential to capitalize and broaden the horizon of action.
Within the research projects implemented within transnational partnerships, the researchers can carry out activity on the Romanian territory, remaining employees of their own research institutes or universities. If they work as employees of the Romanian research institute or university, they will need the recognition of the professional qualification offered by the Ministry of Education and Research.
Necessary documents for drawing up the file in order to recognize the diplomas
Regarding the recognition of diplomas in education systems, the file that will be submitted by the employing company in this regard to the Minister of Education will include:
1. Registry number;
2. Standard request addressed to the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research requesting the recognition of the study document (the address and telephone number of the company will be mentioned);
3. The study certificate in legalized xerox copy, if it is in Romanian, or legalized translation in original, otherwise;
4.Copy of the foreigner’s passport (page (s) containing identification data);
5. The address from the company specifying the position that the respective person is to occupy;
6. Copy of the company’s registration certificate;
7. Delegation for an employee of the company, who will submit the file and pick up the certificate of recognition;
8. Proof of payment of the amounts charged for the recognition of the certificate, in original or certified copy.
