Access to social housing or Moderate Rent Housing – HLM
To obtain social housing (or HLM = Habitation à Loyer Modéré), it is necessary to apply for it.
Only requests from people who meet the award conditions are likely to be met. An unmet demand for social housing must be renewed each year. Otherwise, the request is canceled.
The application is submitted:
- either from a social landlord or a state service (possibly the town hall);
- either with the social service of your administration, if you are a civil servant;
- or with an integrated reception and guidance service (SIAO), if you are accommodated in a support structure.
The registration of the application then gives rise to the issuance of a registration number and a registration certificate. The registration certificate is given to you on site or sent to you as soon as possible 1 month to the address indicated on the form, if you have sent the completed form by post accompanied by a copy of the requested documents.
This certificate mentions the following elements:
- Registration number of the request;
